Threaded Tube Inserts

Square Threaded Tube Inserts

Expanding inserts use the Rawlplug effect: two moulded nylon pieces with hex nuts inside tapered cavities. Tightening a bolt presses the nuts downward, expanding the outer walls to grip the tube. Expanding inserts are made with mild steel zinc plated threads as standard, also available in stainless steel 304 or 316 (marine grade); load capacity is 300kg for expanding inserts. Thread stop is the distance from the top of the insert head to the end of the female thread inside the insert.
